Got Snow?

I'm always adding to my Christmas card stash thanks to so many challenges out there to keep me inspired. For this one, I used a piece of glittered green cardstock, cutting a line of trees with a Tim Holtz die. I embossed the background with a SU! ef, and added a couple deer from the MB deer trio die. The hills were cut with Lawn Fawn stitched hillside dies, and the greeting was also a die cut from Cottage Cutz. The deer were cut from rust colored cardstock, while the sentiment was cut from bright red, but my camera shows them both as red. This scene almost looks like the view out my window this morning! The grass is all white from the snow we had yesterday, but it will soon be melted and spring will finally arrive......hopefully :)

I'm sharing this over at the Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge for April - which is to use at least one die cut. I've used 4.

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a warm and wonderful Sunday!

Carol

A really beautiful card, love the layers, love the stitched dies.

Please don't send the snow across the pond LOL. We have a bright but cold day with strong cold winds.

A perfect scene for Christmas - but April?! LOL! Hope the snow you have doesn't last long and Spring pops in soon.
Love your card and it really is a great scene. The deer is so pretty and I like him in the rust color along with the snowy sky and rolling hills.

You created a gorgeous scene with your snow, deer and trees. Just lovely. I was wondering if you got any of that snow that was bound for PA. I know some parts got quite a bit and I'm hoping your area wasn't one of them. They had called from maybe some snow Tuesday of this coming week, but it has now changed to rain. Thank Goodness. Wishing you a good day today and I have to assume you are a happy camper because of Kyle's win.

Love the simplicity of this card. Interesting about the camera and colors. I really like it the way it is displayed.

Wonderful Cristmas card, this scene is very paceful and the deer with her baby is so sweet! Love the glittered trees and the stitched hills. You will have a lot of cards ready next Christmas! I must learn to you...

Beautiful peaceful Christmas card Carol! I love the gently falling snow background, the trees are great and of course the deer in the hills of snow. We lucked out and didn't get any snow that laid on the ground. It snowed pretty heavy for about 2 minutes and that was it! I was thankful. But I think Bret got snow up at school. I hope this sun today is melting that snow right away Carol! Hugs, Brenda

What a pretty wintery scene. I feel the chill! (she says as the space heater blows frantically on her feet in the overly air conditioned office in southern AZ).

Just playing catchup on visits, and saw this pretty scene, and then realized it's for HLS Christmas, so changing my hat here! Great use of the dies to meet the challenge, and love the red deer duo. Really stands out so well against those stitch snow hills. Also liking the falling snow texture behind those gorgeous trees! TFS & joining in with the April HLS Christmas challenge. Hugs
