First Easter Cards of 2016

It's time to get started on Easter cards because that day is just around the corner. I used a beautiful embossed piece of aqua Bazzill textured cardstock shared with me by a good friend (thanks M.A.) One side is the darker aqua, while the flip side is a lighter shade. I cut the tag with a Lawn Fawn Tag You're It die, and placed a Lil Inker stitched Bunny and bow die cut in the center, adding grass done with a SNSS grass die. The bunny's eye is a dot of liquid pearls in light blue. The lower border is a SNSS lacey eyelet border die which I cut in white and matching cardstock, and interchanged the negative flowers for a pop of coordinating color. I added a snippet of sheer ribbon and matching twine to the top of the tag, and heat-embossed the SU! sentiment on a snippet of black cardstock. I liked the way this turned out, so I decided to reverse the colors and make a 2nd card. I tilted the tag slightly to see which one I liked better, and I believe this one is more pleasing to my eyes.

I'm entering this into the DRS Designs #214 challenge which is a color inspiration based on this photo:

You don't have to use all the colors, but obviously I was inspired by the light and dark aqua colors on my cards.

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great day!

Carol

Love both them, but (as you) I'm in love with the second one colours combination, the more dark background make pop out very well the tag with the cute bunny and the pretty border!
Great Easter cards, Carol, you inspire always me very much!

If I get motivated I may have to try this color scheme. I love these, Carol. The embossed card stock worked will with this challenge. Also I need my computer to cooperate, or I will be doing zip!

They are two lovely cards Carol. The paper is lovely and I can't choose a favourite from the two. What a cute bunny die and the small grass looks lovely. You always put lots of lovely detail in your cards. Barbxx
