Colorful Birthday Card

I discovered a long-forgotten CHF chicken wire background stamp from my collection and stamped it with versamark on a piece of watercolor paper, heat-embossing it with white ep. I sponged on some Ranger Mermaid Lagoon, Citron, and Spun Sugar inks until I liked the look. I die cut some Darice Daisies in black and white along with a few snippets of sponged blue cardstock for the butterfly and flower centers. I added a white die-cut stem to the bottom, along with a SNSS white embossed sentiment, done with a SU! oval punch. The butterfly was done with a Punch a Bunch, and I hand-drew the antennae with a fine marker.

I'll be taking this one over to the Snippets Playground #215 since I used mostly snippets to put it all together.

Thanks for stopping by, and to my friends in the New England portion of the US, stay safe and warm in the snowstorm that's heading your way!

Carol

I laughed to myself when you said you forgot you have the chicken wire stamp. It is one of your stamps that is one of my all time favorites.
This came out just lovely, great colors and those die cuts flowers and leaves are so very sweet. I don't think we'll be seeing any of those around here too soon. Supposed to be 6-10" today. Hope you didn't get it.

Love the fabulous find and what a pretty snippety card it turned into. Love the dark & white flowers over the colorful inks. Like the way you've tied in the blue butterfly of happiness with the flowers' centers colors too. TFS & hope you're not getting that snow again. Hugs

I have always been a big fan of the chicken wire for a background. This is lovely and reminds me of flowers growing near a chain link fence.
