Gatefold Christmas Card

I have a gatefold card to share today, made with snippets of leftover dsp with gumball green & red cardstock. I used a SB lotus die cut with a pair of SB die cut circles to hold the SNSS gold-embossed sentiment. These gatefold cards are fun to make and make great use of those leftover strips of dsp you may have on hand. I found it impossible to photograph the inside because the card wouldn't stay open long enough to take a picture. I put a red candle image inside, but you'll have to take my word for it :)
The challenge at the MFP Stamp Shop challenge #3 is to make a gatefold card, and they have an easy-to-follow tutorial so you can play along.

I'm also sharing this over at the Snippets Playground #212 which is to always use snippets.

Thanks for stopping by, and make it a great weekend!

Carol

Like so much gatefold cards, and I never make them!! :(
Thanks for the inspiration, your topper is just fabulous with this diecut lotus, so lovely, and the golden sentiment!! Beautiful scraps of paper, they match very well with the green and red of the topper, and give a very happy feel to your card!

This is a fun fold, Carol. I like that holly paper...I have the same one!

This would be a fun card to make just from looking at my DP scraps to find ones that work and then designing the rest of the card from those! Might just try it that way...

You are going to have a whole batch of Christmas cards if you keep up at this rate. Hooray for you. I love this die and you put it to good use on this card. I can just about see your candle on the inside. Very pretty card, Carol. Enjoy the weekend.

This is really nifty. I like that big round die focal point to bring balance to the front of the card. I need to make a birthday card for a friend who always tries different things and new techniques so a basic A2 card to her will not do. Perhaps a gatefold one?!!

I don't make to many gatefold cards Carol, but I need to rectify that. Your card is beautiful, love the paper and the SB die cut. Hugs, Brenda
