Monochromatic Vintage Media

My card was made for the Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge #252 which is "monochromatic." Deedee's digis is sponsoring this challenge, so I've used her Vintage Media digital stamp set in the pre-colored version. I added a snippet of dsp from my stash that coordinated with the colors and added glossy accents to the telephone just for fun. The sentiment is from the same set, and I definitely remember phones like this - I had one exactly like it hanging on my kitchen wall and I'd give anything to have one of them again! These phones actually worked - unlike the wireless phones we're forced to use today.

Deedee's digis has a new November monthly challenge where you can earn free digi stamps just by playing along. If you didn't play along last month and missed receiving the November digi, you can get it for a ridiculously reduced price, but only as long as the November challenge is ongoing. Get all the details HERE!

Thanks for checking in today, and have yourself a fabulous crafty day!

I'm pretty sure we had a Harvest Gold wall phone too (as opposed to an Avocado Green one). I don't like cordless phones at all. My little brother discovered with our cordless phone that it would pick up the neighbors' conversations. He often listened in when he was bored. So you think you have to watch out for big brother but really it was little brother. Ha! Anyway, I don't own a cell phone but a couple of retro handsets. I'm sure once they die they cannot be replaced. Anyway, love your phone and YES! I do remember when.

Great card, Carol! I was just telling them at work how I remember my old phone number from when I was growing up. The one that started with letters. Yep... I am old.

I like your retro phone card Carol. Yes I do remember too and the old phones were more reliable as well.

Brilliant post and love the gorgeous creation.
I have a new blog due to google plus playing a game or two on my old one and I don't know how to change it all without losing my followers comments. If you have the time I would be honoured if you would follow me again.
Here is a link to my new one..  { aNNie}
