A Feminine Birthday Card

I used Jennifer McGuire's stamping with water technique to make this card. I started by covering a piece of cardstock with some Fired Brick distress ink, and then used the SU! doily stamp spritzed with water to stamp the subtle image. I finished the lower panel with a SNSS birthday sentiment, heat embossed with white ep, then added a piece of neutral May Arts lace ribbon. To finish, I added a few assorted blush-colored pearls and placed this on a blush-colored card base, rounding the corners for a softer look.

I'll be sharing this over at the Little Red Wagon 316 which is to make a "technique" card.

Happy Friday everyone - and thanks for stopping by!

Carol

Carol your water stamping technique turns out so much nicer than the one I experiment with, then I read in the tut re the more ink you use the better it turns out so I am going to try again. Love your result, it's lovely.xx

I really love the pretty effect you achieve with this technique Carol, I still haven't tried it yet but it is definitely on my to do list. The stamp you used is so pretty and so is the lace ribbon.

Going to see if I can leave a comment this time. This is quite lacy and lovely, Carol. You have become a master of this spritz technique.

Aw, this is so pretty, and the delicate lace makes the bestest border trim. I've tried this water ghosting technique, and I haven't gotten it right yet! Looks so easy, but mine just don't show up nicely like this pretty doily did. The red is really nice with the dark black. I see 'quilt' peeking in the last post, so I'm off to see what THAT is! Hugs & hope you have a wonderful Tksgiving. TFS
