Water Colored Birthday Panels

I started with a piece of wc paper, and simply scribbled with some Derwent wc pencils in blue and green, and sprayed the panel with water, holding it at the top to let the colors run to the bottom and blend. After it was dry, I cut the panels with a MFT set of horizontal stitched dies, and added a black Nestabilities Labels 18 die cut that was embossed with a birthday greeting in white. The final touch was to add 3 tiny green gemstones to the top, and 3 blue ones to the bottom.

That's going to do it for me today, but thanks for dropping by and have yourself a great day!

I love the effect of your water coloured background, and the die cut panels. That is a lovely birthday greeting stamp as well and the matching gem stones add a nice bit of bling.

Love the panels on this and I've never thought to use the pencils for watercoloring - but it works great! Wonderful way to highlight that sentiment.

Fabulous card. I really love those water color panels. I've been so entranced by my Ziggies that I have forgotten all about my trusty Inktense pencils. Thanks for the reminder and inspiration.
