4th Grade Altered Composition Book

Today I have an altered Composition book that I made for my granddaughter who's now in 4th grade. Like me, her favorite color is purple, while her school colors are black and gold. I printed out her school logo and placed it on some SU! gold striped dsp. The vertical panel was made from snippets of glittered gold and black cardstock; die cut with a Lil Inker diagonal stitched panel die and placed together to make the border, adding a strip of gold metallic ribbon along the edge afterward. I sealed the glitter with Glossy Accents because it was flaking all over the place. The big "4" was a chipboard piece I found in my stash, and I glued some dsp to it, sponging the edges, adding clear gems, and sealing afterward with Glossy Accents. I covered the chipboard bookplate with lavender ink, stamped her name, and added a snippet of ribbon along with some assorted purple gems, then covered it with Glossy accents to make sure everything stayed attached. A few more glittered stars and I called this one done. Not bad for a $.50 purchase, eh?

I'm sharing this one over at the Snippets Playground #193.

Wishing you a wonderful day, and as always - thanks so much for stopping by!

Oh Carol, Cory will love this, I just know it. You've incorporated her favorite color with the school colors to make an amazing Composition book. A $.50 Composition Book has never looked so good and it is personalized. Her class mates will be totally envious of this beautiful gift you've made for her. I can see them all now asking her if you can make them one. Oh you may have opened a can of worms. Just kidding. LOL Enjoy the evening and tomorrow.

Wow!! Such a wonderful book you have made for your granddoughter Cory!! And you have used her favourite colour with the colours of school, great idea! The eagle looks gorgous in the topper and the big purple 4 is a catch-eye with the dotty glossy paper and the gems! Wonderful for a young girl! The tag with her name and the flower are so sweet! She will love it so much, it's sure!! Great work!
