Spooky

There's a new challenge at MFP Speedy Fox & Friends #275 and it's to "border punch both sides. I pulled out an old EK pumpkin border punch and punched 2 strips of black cardstock, and lined them with orange to show up the pumpkin faces. I stamped the MFP thankful pumpkins image and embossed it with clear, doing a little paper piecing of the stems and leaves. I added some stamped weeds around the pumpkins, some flying bats, a MFP black cat at the bottom, and a panel of burlap and black ribbon for some contrast. The word Spooky was done with an Inkadinkado stamp and the background paper is from Bazzill Basics.

Here's wishing you a fabulous Monday. Stay cool!

Very cute card. I know it says Spooky, but it is not spooky at all so it will be nice for any age. Great paper piecing and the burlap just seems to be the ideal add on. We are in the middle of a three day heat wave, but it is suppose to cool down later on in the week, I do hope you weather cools down for you also.

Love that double border! Great design, Carol! I wish I was creating but I am dealing with Miss Della who needs to get her red stitches checked. Grrrrr!

See! It does too exist! I was just talking to someone about this very border punch and she was quite convinced I was thinking of a Martha one. I knew I wasn't! I find double borders hard to get lined up nicely. You did an awesome job with this one. Great spooky card! I made some H'ween ones but forgot to photograph them. Ah well, there is always tomorrow!

Great card for this challenge! Today it's difficult to think Halloween with these high humid temperatures that we have been having.
Hope you're managing to keep cool!

Just had to take a closer look at this one. Love it! That bold stripe makes a wonderful background for the border punches and this cute orange punkin stitchy strip. Clever you to get the jump on Halloween. Mr. will like this one. TFS
