August Rudolph Days

It's the 25th of the month and that means it's time for the Rudolph Days August challenge, where you have until the end of August to enter your Christmas card.
This card was designed around the ribbon snippet I found in my stash. It wasn't big enough to tie into a bow, but I was determined to use it so it became the border for this card. The background was done with a Hero Arts stamp in versamark, then heat-embossed with silver ep. I cut the 2 MB leaping deer from white, and placed them on top. The sentiment is by Northwoods and was also embossed in silver. I added a couple of tiny black gems for the eyes and this card was done!

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a great Tuesday!

Carol

A fabulous Carol,I have recently bought the stamp you used in the background and I love it. It looks great here embossed with silver, and the die cut deer match perfectly with your snippet of ribbon.

This is a very cool card! Love it! I made a Christmas card recently! Holy cow.... what did I do with it? I thought, "I'll just save this for Rudolph Day." Now I have no idea where it is. It has a deer but is nowhere as cool as your card!

So pretty, and to repeat what some of the others have said...
(but only because I totally agree!) That background is awesome!

Thank you for the nice comments on my blog...
and regard to my side step card..(You said that you have never made one)...I'd love to see a card that you would do with that fold...
I am totally addicted to them, I have made almost two dozen cards now using that fold.

You clever boots, you! What a perfect way to use up your smidgen of this cute ribbon, and it couldn't be more appropriate than as a border on this cute leaping deer card. Love the background trees. With the way you've done the embossing, the trees look 'inlaid'. Wonderful way to celebrate August's Rudy Day... TFS

Finally getting round to visit everyone (after the storm). Your card is beautiful. I love how you made that fab background.

I had a wee smile at your ribbon...as I have the exact same one. I love those little reindeer on that ribbon too!
