Patriotic Thank-You

Today I have 2 thank-you cards that are going into my final OWH box. I'm using a Tim Holtz "Old Glory" alterations die that I've cut in red, white, blue and embossed gold and then interchanged the pieces to represent the US flag. I added a snippet of red, white, and blue dsp to carry the theme, and added 3 punched stars to the blue field on the flag. The strip of vertical stars was done with a die included with the flag. I used a Lil Inker stitched rectangle die for the sentiment panel, and added a Hero Arts sentiment that I colored in with a red marker.

Here's a 2nd one using different snippets of dsp and a kraft card base instead of red. I also cut red stars for the vertical strip.

I'm entering these cards into the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge - use your favorite technique and/or product
(my favorite technique is die cutting and swapping the die cut pieces within the die, and my favorite product is the Lil Inkers stitched rectangle dies.)

Little Red Wagon #294 - use stitching (machine, hand, faux, stickers, or rub ons)

Snippets Playground weeks #181 and 182 - must use snippets

Thanks for stopping by - wishing you a wonderful Wednesday!

Carol

That top card has more movement to it but I like the bottom one better. It is a bit easier on the eye. They are both great though and a big THANK YOU for reminding me that hubby bought me a flag die for my birthday. This is the time to break it out and use it!!!!

These patriotic cards are just beautiful Carol! I love, love, love patriotic cards. Are these going to be Hero mail?? I got good news from my Hero, he is leaving the military in 7 months and will be moving back home with my grandkids around July of next year!! I'm so happy and I'm so happy that he won't have to deploy anymore. I feel he had done his share of deployments by doing 5 of them and even though I know there are soldier's out there that have did more deployments than that, I'm just glad to know he will be home now to raise his babies. I pray that it will be peaceful times for many of our Hero's. Peace on Earth really is so many people's wish! God Bless you Carol for all you have done in these past years for our Hero's. Big Hugs, Brenda
ps: I've been working on my box too. lol

This is fantastic Carol. Love that flag and was tempted to buy the die, but being in UK I would not get to use it much, other than my album for last year.
You have done a great job.

Two great cards for your OWH project. They will be truly loved.

Thanks for the kind comments on the house. I have really enjoyed the downsizing. Got rid of over 70 boxes tot he thrift shop and we have still given things away that we moved over here!! Go figure!

I am almost through decorating the main floor and need to scoot a few things around to better places upstairs. One or two pictures still to hang but they require my son-in-law to bring his special ladder. Not a good ask in camping and fishing season! They can wait till winter...lol

I will be glad when we finish the lawn leveling and returfing next year. Then we will be finally done. All this work has taken a big bite out of visiting and crafting time!
