Patchwork Birthday

Does anyone remember that fabulous BG paper called "two scoops?" Well I've been hoarding a few pieces of it for years, and finally decided it was time to let go and use some of it! lol I punched squares, and placed them on a scrap piece of cardstock, and die cut the piece using a Top Note Die. I die cut the SNSS sentiment panel with SB petite oval & scalloped dies from light and dark pink cardstocks, and added a die-cut CL flourish with some punched flowers using SU! punches. I added mini brads to the centers of some flowers, and left some plain.

I'm entering this into the Cuttlebug Mania challenge which is "sentimental journey" - in other words, add a sentiment.

Thanks for dropping by today and I hope your weekend is wonderful!

Carol

Fabulous card Carol, in Italy the design of this paper is called "Country" style. Love the colours combo and the big oval with the sentiment is just perfect!
The Top Note Die is one of my must have by a lot of time, ad it looks great for the shape of your card! You have stitched the top note diecut by hand?

Another fabulous patchwork creation Carol, it is such a cool way to make a lovely background. This one looks real pretty with the pink sentiment topper and die cut flourish and punched flowers.

So pretty! I love the paper you used and cutting it in small squares and then using the Top Note die was so creative. Fabulous card!
Hope y'all aren't floating away with all the rain up that way.

I was just thinking of this technique the other day and trying to explain it someone (poorly). Scrumptious colors and scrumptious card! I can see why you hoarded the paper for so long. Goodie for you for using it now.
