March Rudolph Days

It's time for the March Rudolph days challenge to make a Christmas card. These challenges roll out on the 25th of each month, and you have until the end of the month to link up a card. Today I've made 3 cards with my MFT quilt die. I pulled out some retired SU! dsp that's been a long-time favorite of mine and just cut snippets of dsp until I had enough to make 3 cards. This one uses an ivory card stock base, along with old olive for the frame, and an IO button die, woven with matching strips of paper. The SU! sentiment was heat-embossed in gold.

Here's the olive card base version. For this, I used the back side of a paper pad cover for the framework because it has some nice thickness to it.

And here's the chocolate chip card base version. The sentiment was embossed with a vanilla ep, but it turned out clear. I may stamp a sentiment panel and place it over the one that's there now because I don't like how looks. I was hoping for some light color to coordinate with the frame of the quilt.

With all the snippets used, I'm also entering these cards into the Snippets Playground #169.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Wednesday!

Carol

Oh Carol...these are all so gorgeous!

I am going to have to order this die as when I go to the craft group at the lake, I am the only person who is not quilting!

They very nicely put up with me taking up a whole table while they work.

I will make them some birthday cards once I have this die...thanks for showcasing it.

Thank you for taking part in the March Rudolph Days challenge.
