Fresh Daisies

I'm using the Crooked Stampers CSSC#2 sketch challenge to create this card. I cut a SB petite oval from black textured cardstock, and added a few SSS Fresh daisies die cuts. I die-cut the flowers from snippets of yellow print dsp and colored the bases with a light orange Copic, then glued them on top of the stems. I added some punched ferns with an EK punch, and added 2 butterflies done with Punch-a-Bunch butterfly punches. I added 2 yellow gemstones from Pizzazz Aplenty to the butterfly, adding some white Wink of Stella to the black butterfly wings. The sentiment is from Lili of the Valley Ltd stamps. I used GinaK Ivory cardstock and used a Lil Inker stitched rectangle to add some stitching to the outside edge.

I'm also entering this card into the Snippets Playground #167.

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great day today!

Carol

Lovely card for this sketch. I like the colors in your flowers and your butterfly. The added ferns really ground your flowers nicely. Thanks for letting me know about my stamp I used yesterday. Wishing you a warmer day today.

Beautiful Flower Card! It looked like an embossed card in the thumbnail and it was die cut! I love it. The signs of spring and It makes me smile.

I love those flowers on the black oval. Great idea to cut them from patterned paper and just shade with your markers.

Thanks for playing my sketch challenge!

This is so lovely! That black texture oval is scrumptious! A friend sent me one of these stitched rectangles that I wondered what to do with... now I know. You've inspired me!!
