Aloha!

Aloha! Doesn't that have a nice ring to it? I'd love to be heading to Hawaii right about now, but since I can't, I'll make a card and pretend I'm already there! LOL
I'm using a new Avery Elle stamp set I won from the "Cards from the Heart Drive" that includes the VW bus, surf board, palm tree, and sentiment. I stamped the bus, board, and palm tree, colored them with Spectrum Noir markers, and clear-embossed them all before fussy cutting. The hub caps were done with a hole punch on red card, and covered with glossy accents. I sponged the sky with TH broken china ink, adding some sandy beaches with Lawn Fawn hillside dies and snippets of kraft and tan card stock. For the final touch, I used a die-cut sun from Lil Inker, with a Lawn Fawn smiley face stamped inside. The birds are from SNSS stamped in black. OK, can you feel those warm Hawaiian breezes yet? Here's where imagination comes into play :) I can still dream!

I'm entering this into the following challenges:

Snippets Playground #169 - must use snippets

NBUS #4 challenge - use Never Before Used Schtuff - (A.E. stamp set)

Thanks for stopping by and Aloha!!

Carol

Oh yes, I bet most of the country would love to be there right now.....especially the ones with all the snow.

Your clouds look so good I was thinking it was designer paper. Wow...great job. Love this awesome, summery card.

Cute scene...I can only dream about going there...(That's okay, I get motion sickness anyway, and that would be a LONG trip from my house)

Aloha to you, too, Carol! Our imaginations keep us going and you've got mine in hyper gear right now with your super beach scene! I'm not sure this ol' whale could surf, but, wait, stop it, remember we are using our imaginations, so, yes, by George, I CAN surf!! Thank you for brightening my day with this fun card and for playing again in my NBUS Challenge #4!! Hugs, Darnell
