Owl Be Seeing You

Here's my card for the MFP Speedy Fox & Friends challenge #248. This week the challenge is to do a resist technique on designer paper. I began with a piece of music dsp from the Tim Holtz Shabby Chic paper pad, and embossed the MFP owl & sentiment with white ep. I sponged with Island Indigo ink, added some brads and distressed the edges, finally adding a bit of Pizzazz Aplenty silver cording. I wanted to make the eyes pop because they had no color, so I added 2 black mini brads and turned this owl into an angry bird it seems! LOL

Thanks for stopping by and I hope your day is a great one!!

Carol

This is a great card Carol! I am loving that owl and I don't think he looks like he is angry. lol I love the music sheet paper and I l love the color you did your sponging with. Your silver accents are great with the blue! Stay warm this tonight and this weekend, I'm afraid we are in for it with the cold and wind! Hugs, Brenda

Fun card with a darling sentiment. I'm not used to seeing distressed edges from you, but it just fits this card. Love those gems in the eyes and they do make them pop. Have a fun evening.

Superb! I should have looked at your card for inspiration! I thought this technique easy to do but actually difficult to find the right stamp, designer paper and ink. I wasted a lot of stuff trying to do it! You made it look so simple!!!! Bravo!
