Christmas Puppy

Deedee's digis is sponsoring the Completely Christmas Challenge #52 which is "anything goes with a twist - add texture." I've used Deedee's "Puppy's Christmas" line drawing digi that I colored with Copics. I used one of the fun sentiments included with the set and added a few IO die-cut buttons and a little brad to the present's bow for texture. I shredded some matching green paper and used that to "sew" the buttons on, which are popped up with dimensionals.

I know there are many definitions for texture, so I've made another card with a different type of texture.....

This card was done in colors of lavender and pale aqua, and the background was embossed with a Darice snowflake embossing folder. I used Deedee's digis "Sending My Love" digi set, using the line drawn image and coloring it with Copics. The snowflakes were done with Lawn Fawn stitched snowflakes, and I added some tiny Geo Sparkler stickers to the centers.

Here's a little reminder that Deedee's February progressive challenge is still open and you have one more day to get your cards entered. Play along this month and win March's featured digi completely free! Click here for details.

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great weekend!

Two adorable cards with super texture. I like your buttons on the first with the shredded paper to sew them on.
I had a laugh at what Mary Anne said about the next round of slop. I assume that is snow. HAHAHA

Both are really cute and a great way to add texture! I've had enough snow now. I wish we could find an OFF switch!

Oh Carol, both of these cards are so delightful!! I love them both and love the texture that both have. I am really in love with that button die, it looks so real. I thought they were real buttons! Hugs, Brenda

A lot of people here "texture" and immediately think embossed but you are right that the buttons and brads are texture too. Great cards, both of them! I have so many partially made Christmas cards on my desk I need to finish them.... you know all the more to encourage spring.
