Love You

My card today was a labor of love to create, but after all the work of putting it together, I couldn't get a good photograph that shows the true colors! The heart is actually a pale blue, but no matter how I made color adjustments, it only shows as white. I made the herringbone background with strips of paper from a BG Kioshi paper pad. The heart was made with a piece of solid blue from the paper pad and cut with a SSS large heart doily. I wove some narrow black ribbon through the edges of the heart, and added a die cut "love" done with a SSS small love you die. The word "you" was placed on a SNSS ticket die and it's all adhered to a black card base.

I'm entering this into 3 challenges:

MFP Speedy Fox & Friends #243 - make a patchwork background

Snippets Playground #158 - must use snippets

Darnell's NBUS #3 - NBUS (never before used schtuff) is the ticket die

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope your first weekend into the new year is off to a great start!

Carol

Wow that was a lot of beautiful work and even though I know the heart is blue, it look very nice in the photo as white. Just a gorgeous card. Have a good day.

Beautiful bg - I love how you did it and it looks fab. I have had the worse time capturing colors lately with my camera - I need some better lights or something. Great card. HUgz

OOoh, I'm thinking of the time spent making that woven background, but Lawsy, it sure was stunning. Clever idea cause it was perfect for the pretty heart. Well done, and even though your intended soft blue didn't show as well as you wanted, it is stunning just the same. Done with your usual flair. Hope 2015 is off to a grand start. TFS & Hugs. Thanks for the lovely Christmas card which we finally got our mail sorted yesterday. Will be sharing soon.
