ATC Valentines

I mentioned earlier that I make Valentines all year long for the Cards from the Heart Drive which distributes Valentines to children in hospitals. All cards need to be A2 or smaller, so this year I decided to make the bulk of my box an ATC sized valentine, so the children can exchange with their friends too. I always send a few A2 cards, but these little ones are perfect for the children who are able to write them out for family members or friends, plus they're a great way to use up those snippets of paper, ribbon and card stock. I take a 5x3-1/2 piece of cardstock and score it in half for a 2-1/2 x 3-1/2 finished card. I make envelopes for each ATC valentine with an envelope punch board, adding a "to and from" on the outside. Below is just a small sampling of some of the cards going into the box.

This is a SNSS digital image, colored with Copics and mounted on red.

and here's the inside.

My favorite mouse - Cocoa from SNSS. The die cut border is also from SNSS.

and the inside.....

This is another SNSS digital image - Rhubarb done in purple....

and here's the inside.

Here's a few done with Cricut-cut layered hearts, and run through the paper crimper. I added punched bows and hearts with a mini brad holding them all together. The word "love" was done with a Quickutz die.

Here are a few more with added dsp and a stamped sentiment and bits of ribbon.

Whenever you mention cute  you have to include some Lawn Fawn stamps, and here's a few done with their My Silly Valentine set.

This is a photo I took when I first began making valentines for this card drive. After I take a few more pictures, I'll share a photo of the box - all packed up and ready to mail!

Thanks for visiting today and I hope if you've made a few extra valentines you'll consider sending them in! Just click on the big pink heart at the top of my side bar and you'll be taken to the site for all the details.

Have a fantastic day!

Carol

Have you ever been busy!!! The kids are going to love these and they're ALL so cute. Wish I'd had these to give everyone when I was a little girl.
Of course I LOVE Cocoa - but they're all so cute it'd be too hard to pick a favorite.

Carol, what a wonderful thing you are doing. These little Valentines seem like just the ticket for little ones. You have been one busy girl, what satisfaction you must have, putting them in a box and sending them off, knowing how much joy they will bring. And, did I mention, they are all so beautiful. I applaud your efforts!!!

All adorableness! & I'm in love with the 1st one with the tiny mouse & heart banner, but each is just so cute. Rhubarb's little medallion looked embossed the way you did it. (yet I think it's a digi? right?) How very kind & generous of you to think of these youngsters and make it easy for them to remember their folks with such cute & finished cards. I don't know how you manage all that you do!! You must be Superwoman! (and talented S/Woman at that!) Hugs & TFS
