Christmas Cardinal

Today I have a Christmas card made with a Deedee's digi Christmas Cardinal pre-colored image. For quick cards, these colored images make such classy and quick cards. I just printed out the image along with one of the sentiments in the set, and did a little piercing around the edges and corners. I matted it with red, and put it on a piece of dark green dsp for contrast. The pinecones were covered in gold stickles and I added some little red gemstones along with a piece of red & gold sheer ribbon.

This one is going over to the 52 {Christmas} Card challenge which is being sponsored by Deedee's digis. If you play along by choosing any previous challenge in 2014, you might be the lucky winner of a generous prize package from Deedee's Digis. For my card I used the sketch challenge from July, 2014. You can review all the previous challenges by using the tabs at the top of their blog.

On another note, Deedee's December progressive challenge is ongoing, so click here for details on how you can get in on the challenge and receive a free digi each month!

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a wonderful start to the new week!

I started writing that this was a fat and happy cardinal and a very nice winter card but then a shiny thing happened and I think I got distracted. I like the added touch of piercing.

I love pinecones and I love birds so I'm adoring this beautiful card. Your Stickles look great on the pinecones to give them an icy look.

I do love Cardinals. Such a shame we don't have them in the UK. A smashing card and like how you have jazzed up the cones. hugs Mrs A.
