Two Cards From One Die

We finally had some sunshine that enabled me to take some photos this morning. I don't usually do CAS challenges, because I love layering, but the CAS(E) this Sketch#100 immediately made me think of this PTI center stage die I have, so I put it to good use and made a card. I cut the die with Navy  and cut it in half, then added some snippets of green polka dot paper, adding a SU! sentiment along with some smiley faces done with a Stampendous stamp. We all smile when saying thanks don't we?? :)

Since I cut the center stage die into 2 pieces, I figured I might as well make another card with the other half, so this one includes some pale blue polka dot dsp with the navy. I stamped the Hero Arts sentiment and then darn!! I found a big navy smudge of ink on the light blue panel, so I pulled out a Cheery Lynn mini flourish die and managed to cover the mistake with one of the leaves. I added 3 punched flowers done with a SU! mini punch, and dotted the centers with a glaze pen so this card will go through the mail without extra postage.

Thanks for stopping by today and I wish you a day filled with sunshine!

Carol

I love both of these card. Both have great color combos. Isn't it great how we learn to cover up mistakes. No one would ever know that is what you intended on doing. I just pulled out that SU! "Thanks" stamp last night also. Have fun creating on this beautiful sunny day. It is sunny here also, but the temps are falling very fast.

Love your wonderful cards, Carol. I just adore those cute smiley faces. That is a card to put a smile on someone's face at first glance.

I always love when you do this challenge. These are the type cards that I don't do well, and you make them look amazing.

Two fabulous cards! I love the colors on that first one along with the cute smiling faces. Great cover up on the second because the flourish looks perfect on there.

I love both cards Carol! I also loved that sketch, it was a cool one. Your first one I love the color combo and that polka dot paper and who can resist those smiley faces?!! And yes, I always smile when I say thanks! Love the second card too and I must say you hid your "mistake" perfectly! I love the flourishes and I love the tiny flowers. I think I need me the tiny flower punch from SU! lol Hugs, Brenda

We had sunshine today, but the hi was 37, and that was without the wind chill! Brrr. These cards are gorgeous. Love the navy & green...that was a fav dress combo when I worked too. And I adored the smiley faces. #2 is elegant as can be and that flourish added just a touch more to an already beautiful card. Gotta check out this die...seeing it around Blogland, but haven't seen it at the places where I buy 'schtuff'. I don't get a lot from PTI. Will have to check into that! TFS & stay warm. Hugs
