Little Rock Star

Here's a card I made for my DGD's 4th birthday. She loves and plays with her toy microphone all the time, so I used this digital image from Anne's Digital Art and colored her with assorted markers. I built this card around her favorite color of yellow, adding snippets of assorted solid colored cardstock & polka dot papers in yellow, grey, and black. I embossed a yellow panel with a CB birthday ef, and added lots of ribbons and twine in coordinating colors. The herringbone technique was used on the right side panel. The sentiment is from SNSS and was embellished with some mini black pearls after hand-cutting into a banner.

I'm entering this over at the Snippets Playground #148 (use snippets) and the Simon Says Wednesday challenge (anything goes).

Thanks for stopping by! I wish you a perfect day!

Carol

What a perfect and very sweet card for your darling granddaughter. I'm sure she is going to love this microphone image. Your herringbone pattern is awesome.
I have a four yr. old granddaughter, too, and they are so much fun, aren't they?

What a great card! I haven't done the herringbone technique in a long, long time. How nice to see it in action. This is definitely a great use of snippets!

How adorable is this card?!! I love it Carol!! That little singer girl is just as sweet and cute as can be. I love the color combo and I love how you mixed the embossing folder with the herringbone pattern. Love the polka dot papers in the herringbone pattern too! Hugs, Brenda

So fun Carol! Love the image and I know your GD will too! Reminds me of my youngest when she was little (she is now 19) - she always had a microphone and danced around. Cute!!! Hugz
