Butterfly Wishes

I don't often get the time to play along with Mrs. A's Butterfly challenges, but today I have a card for their 17th challenge, which is to either dry or heat-emboss your butterfly. I used 2 different butterfly dies along with 3 different embossing folders; all from SU! The sentiment, solid cardstock, and dsp's are also by SU! too. I love hand-cutting those hexagons and sticking them down into the embossed sections which reminds me of an old-fashioned quilt. I added a piece of blue bling to the smallest butterfly center and called this one done!

I'm also taking this over to the Snippets Playground #147 which is of course - to use snippets!

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great day!

Carol

I'm going to be sending you all my hexagons to cut out now!! LOL! I never can get them exactly right - and yours always are! LOVE your card Carol. The colors are so pretty and that butterfly looks like he's ready to fly off. Beautiful!

Ooh, cool hexagons! And beautiful butterflies, of course, as well.

I found out that Unity is located in MN! I received my prize pack the day after I sent my address to them--that was superfast. Thanks again. :)

Oh, Carol! This looks fabulous with the different printed papers in your amazing background. I don't own a honey comb die yet, and your card makes me want to buy one! Wonderful texture in your butterfly layers, too! hugs, de

Hi Carol - I'm popping over to thank you for your sweet comment on my card over at Mrs. A's and OH MY! What a fabulous card I've discovered over at your place? Your embossed multi-layered butterfly is gorgeous, and that hexagon 'quilt' is stunning! I feel a swoon coming on! Absolutely awesome! As for your Halloween card from a previous post: tooooo much fun!! Thanks for making my day sparkle! I'll be back to visit again soon!

I could have sworn that I commented on this card Carol, but I don't see me in the list. lol I guess I'm losing my mind, and not getting my email notifications on the blogs I follow is making me lose my mind! I love, love this card! The papers you used are beautiful together and I just love your butterflies all stacked and embossed. I will have to remember this and give it a try myself with my hexi's. Hugs, Brenda

Caught this one at Mrs. A's & at the Playground, & had to pop in to say how pretty it is. Love when you do the inlays, and it must be tedious with these tiny hexagons. But so very pretty and what a lovely background for your fantastic embossed butterflies. They look ready to take wing & fly away. Really lovely, Carol. Good job! TFS & Hugs
