They Call it Mellow Yellow....

This week's Tuesday Throwdown #207 is "mellow yellow" - use yellow as your main color. I made a birthday card/gift card combo in shades of yellow, with green accents. The image is from IO, colored with Copics and the centers have 2 different colored microbeads in the centers. I covered them all with Glossy accents to seal them and keep them from falling off. The papers are SoHo Garden from AC, while the foiled green papers were scraps from my bin. The ribbon is from Pizzazz Aplenty. The tiny tags were done with SU! stamps and punches. The sentiment on the gift card was done with a SNSS.

Since I used some snippets, I'll also be sharing this one over at the Snippets Playground #136 where the only requirement is to use snippets.

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great day!

Carol

These sunflower cards are lovely! The microbeads was a great idea and I shall have to try and remember the glossy accents trick to keep them adhered and covered! Brilliant!

Wow, these cards are gorgeous Carol! I am loving that daisy stamp, so pretty and you have colored them both so beautifully. I love the micro beads in the center of the flowers and that was a great idea to seal them in. Beautiful papers too. Gosh you brought back some memories with the mellow yellow thing. Do you remember that song?? lol Now it's running around in my head. My girlfriend's husband had a van when we were teens and we called it mellow yellow too. Such fun memories just from those two little words. lol Oh how about the drink, Mellow Yellow?!! I guess I am really dating myself. lol Thanks for the trip down memory lane Carol. Enjoy this beautiful weather! Hugs, Brenda

You are rocking on with these bright sunflowers. Talk about summer ...these sure bring it to mind. Love the colors & you can't beat those IO images. Great background work too. I'm terrible with those microbeads...so thanks for the G.A tip to keep them in place. They really did add a lot of texture to the centers. Of course, as usual, you have wonderful dp trims. TFS & Hugs

Absolutely great Carol! I adore those sunflowers - they really sing Summer out loud! And such a super trick to cover the micro beads too.

Good idea to cover the micro beads with gloss to keep them in line. Great card. I love micro beads on these kinds of flowers (sunflowers? daisies?).
