August Rudolph Day

Happy Monday folks! It's the 25th of the month and that means it's time for the August Rudolph Day challenge. The requirement is to make 2 Christmas cards and share them in one post. For my cards I used SU! card stocks in gumball green, red, and crumb cake, and added a strip of SU! dsp for a horizontal border. The image is Hero Arts wired star, and was embossed with gold and cut with SB squares. The sentiment is also from SU! and was embossed with gold. For this version I added 2 gold brads to the top....

And for this version, I added 2 diamond-shaped brads to the bottom.

Here they are side-by side.

That's 2 more to add to the stash and I'm happy about that because now that summer is rapidly drawing to a close, Christmas is just around the corner! Yep, it happens every year the same way :)

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great week ahead!

Carol

Two awesome cards. Love that brilliant gold wired star against that vivid traditional red. It sparkles. Love the dp border and looks easy to mail as well. The calligraphy gold script is so pretty with the star. This is a stamp I've not seen before. Pretty. TFS & Hugs

Hi Carol

I'm playing catch up after returning from holiday - hence the late comment!

WOW - I love the traditional colours you've used here and isn't that gold wired star beautiful?

Thanks for joining in with Rudolph Day.
