Simon Says "Shake It!"

I've just made my first shaker card for the Simon Says Stamp "shake it" challenge. I'm not thrilled with the way it turned out, but I learned a lot along the way. Hopefully I'll do better the next time I try to make one.
I used some heart-shaped sequins in the shaker window which reflect silver, white, and a pale pink color, so I added some punched ferns and lightly colored them with a pink Copic marker, adding some mini pink gems. The sentiment is SU! Pictogram Punches and I added a silver-embossed punched heart with a pink gem in the center. The border is a die from SNSS, woven with silver metallic ribbon, while the sentiment inside the window is also by SNSS, heat-embossed with silver ep. I must have been tilting my head sideways as I made this card, because both sentiments are noticeably crooked! LOL

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you're enjoying a fantastic weekend!

Carol

Wow this is the first time you've made one of these? You'd never know it. You are being too critical of this one. I think it is beautiful and your sentiment look fine to me. I love those dainty pink ferns with the gems. It think this ins gorgeous. Hope the sun comes out in PA for you today. It's not out here yet, but it promises to within the next few hours. It rains for a full 30 hours here, but I don't have to water my garden today. Mother nature did it for me. LOL Enjoy the day.

A very pretty shaker card, Carol, and I just thought that is the way you wanted your sentiment in the circle. I think it looks fine at a slant. I sometimes slant mine on purpose. :-) Your border die with the ribbon is lovely.

I, too, thought you wanted the sentiment in the circle at an angle. Looks great!

I think the angled sentiment in the circle looks like it is suposed to be that way.
Bet you could pry off the edge of the other one and straighten it in a jiffy.
When I try that though, I usually tear the card behind!

Great card Carol...I really like this design you created.

Wow, I am thinking this card is amazing and not sure what you don't like about it Carol. I love everything about it and can't believe that this is your first shaker card!! I really love that punched border with the ribbon, so pretty and looks beautiful. The branch punch looks so pretty like that too, I loved the way you used it and put the pink bling on. Yep, I love everything about this card!! Hugs, Brenda

Everyone's eyes are drawn automatically to the shaker circle, Carol, and I thought the slight tilt was done on purpose, so no worries. It reminds me of a tree carving like lover's do with their initials and I think it's simply stunning!! I've just made my second shaker for my next post. They're a lot of work, huh? But they are so adorable and addicting!

Have a wonderful Sunday! Hugs, Darnell

really pretty , Carol, I made oneof these at my SU stamp night. Thought they were so pretty and I have not made one on my own yet...but You are inspiring me to give it a try...and PS. I thought that's the way you meant to do the sentiment too. It looks fine just the way it is.

At least it is an upward slant to your greetings, that's supposed to be a positive outlook. I'm really impressed that this is your first shaker card. Very well done!
