Sweet Sixteen

Here's a card I made recently for my granddaughter's 16th birthday. I was inspired by this card I found on Pinterest. I created this with snippets from my overflowing stash, and aligned them all on a black card base after embossing them with a CB birthday ef. I added a purple flourish, a punched and paper flower with pink gemstone center, and some ruffled ribbon from SU!. The numbers were done with my Quickutz and the words in the sentiment were done with 2 different stamps.

I'll be sharing this one over at the Snippet's playground #129 since the entire card was made with snippets.

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great Monday!

This card is just brilliant! The colors are girly, and you lined those panels up like a champ! The flourishes sent it to the top! Perfect Sweet 16!

Wow Carol, I am loving your card better than the inspired card! The colors are so beautiful against that black base. I love the swirl and the flowers, the ribbon is awesome through the sentiment. Yep, I am loving this one! Hugs, Brenda

Great card, nice, bright, cheery and sweet all at the same time. I'm sure your grand daughter will really love it. You just made me sit back and think about my 16th birthday. Good times. Have a good evening.

A wonderful snippet card, and it's just perfect for a 16 yr old. That flourish is so versatile, and is a beautiful embellishment for the embossed snips. Great idea, and will check out the Pinterest inspiration. TFS & Hugs. Also big Happy 16 to the bday girl. That's a milestone for a young lady.

A lovely card and a great way of using some snippets. I love the leafy swirl and the way the coloured banners pop against the black background.

Psst.... your version is better because it has funner focal points. I love the concept of cutting the embossed background into strips. You can get a lot of similar cards that way.

II love your card. What a brilliant idea! Perfect for all those Turin pieces of card that are left over when I cut a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 carrd!
I never know what to do with those and save them like cordwood...stacked up for matching sentiment dies.

Stunning card carol and now you have given me a grey idea for my snippets too.
I am so going to try this!
