It's Time to BBQ!

This week's OWH midweek throwdown is to take the "cheeseburger challenge" or create a BBQ-themed card. I decided to use a Repeat Impressions stamp (and sentiment) that I recently found for a bargain price at a stamp show. I thought they were hilarious, and had no idea what I'd use them for, but I bought them both because they cracked me up! This challenge is just what I was looking for to ink them up!

I made a BBQ grill by cutting circles and cutting them  crosswise, adding legs with snippets of black card stock. The "grill" is  made of embossed silver cut into ovals with a SU! word window punch. The melted cheese on the burgers was done with a MS goo punch, and the weenie - well what can I say? He's just doing his own thing :) The little bursts of color in the background were done with a stick stamp by Judith in shades of red and blue. The dsp is from Vintage Summer by Little Yellow Bicycle.

I'm also taking this over to the Snippets Playground #127 to have the weenie entertain the playground participants!

Wishing you all a great Friday, and a great weekend ahead! Thanks for stopping by!

Carol

I am a griller and would love to see a dog (hotdog of course) hoping around happily on my grill. Great card and chuckle heaven.

Oh, God, this made me groan and guffaw at the same time, Carol, and now I'm having a coughing fit every time I look at the ill-advised positioning of that little weenie foot!! Or is that just me! Fab grill and kudos to you for all the snippets you are using and entering over at Pixie's!! Have a great weekend! Hugs, Darnell

Cute card...perfect for the theme...I'm smiling at your card and at my hubby's comment above me, he is so right. He's a "griller" for sure! Not that I'm complaining I really like things made on the grill. He has been known to stand out in the rain with an umbrella grilling and standing in snow while grilling...that's dedication for sure.

OMGosh, this cracks me up Carol! I love, love that grill you made from shapes-turned out perfect!!! I also love those cheeseburgers-you couldn't have gotten them to look anymore realistic! But that weenie that is doing his own thing just cracks me up! This is just the cutest card!! Love the back ground "stars" and love the "tablecloth" paper as well. Yes, this is super cute card! Hugs, Brenda
