Blended Bloom

Here's my card for this week's OWH Stars and Stamps sketch challenge #230. I used a SU! Blended Bloom image that I colored with SU! Daffodil Blendabilites. After coloring, it appeared dull, so I covered the whole image with Versafine and embossed it with clear ep and then fussy cut it. I added an old SU! black brad to the center and popped it up on dimensionals. The card stock and papers are SU! daffodil, moss and Afternoon Picnic dsp. The ribbon is SU! daffodil, and the black candi dots are also from SU! The only thing non-SU! on this card is the SNSS sentiment and the SB circles dies.
I'm not sure if I like this flower the way I colored it, but if you stand across the room and view it from a distance, it looks a whole lot better! LOL
Thanks for stopping by and make it a great day!

Carol

Carol, I really like that flower and it just pops again the patterned paper you used too! VERY pretty and what a great idea to cover in Versa and then emboss!

It always amazes me at HOW incredibly fast you have your Sunday Sketch Card done, especially this one, which is gorgeous...Love it!!

I am finally creating with some of my DSP's that I bought during the Celebration and now wish I had bought MORE!! Silly me!! I forgot that they are limited and now will be hoarding the rest! I love the Sorbet and the Kaleidoscope the most and have used them a lot lately...and rec'd lots of nice comments on the cards!

Thank YOU !!

I don't need to stand across any room to like this one. I think you did a fantastic job coloring it and cutting it out. We both know cutting is not my forte so I have to admire your cutting skills just as much as your coloring skills. Your whole card is simply lovely. I love it. Enjoy your day.

I for one, LOVE the way you've colored this card. I'm sure it looked great before you did the embossing too, but that certainly added a lot of pizzaz to this wonderfully colored flower. Adding the brad center gave a lot of interest too. Those bkgrnd papers are lovely too, and I could have used this particular one on my recent yellow rose sympathy card! Loved your layout, and this is one great card. I don't need to stand back from it to see that! Happy Sunday. TFS & Hugs
