OWH midweek throwdown

Here's my entry for the OWH midweek throwdown challenge to make a masculine "thinking of you" card. I started off with kraft cardstock, and stamped it with white ink using a stick stamp by Judith. The SSS border was die cut in red, and I die cut scraps of black, white, and kraft to get the stars to insert in the little areas in a color pattern. I finished it up with a Hero Arts sentiment, using one of the die-cut pieces as a stencil to dot the i's in the sentiment with a black marker. A little twine was the finishing touch for this card.

I'm also entering this card into the Snippets Playground #123.

Thanks for stopping by and have yourself a great weekend!

Carol

Great card, Carol. Whenever I make a card with Kraft card stock, I'm not pleased with it, but whenever you do I love it. What is the deal with that? Anyway I think this is a great card. Wishing you a fun day today.

There you go with that tedious work. I know it relaxes you and it makes the most wonderful cards but I know it would stress me. You have such patience and nerves of steel. LOL I love the stars in the sentiment AND your super card.

Wow Carol, I love this card! I love kraft card stock and love white ink on kraft, so you had them there. Then you did these awesome little stars-they look amazing!! Well done my friend. Hugs

Okay, I need to lie down and take a nap after thinking of all the work you went through to make this card happen. It is a beauty though!

Great card! You definitely have more patience than I do...that had to take a long time to do.

A very pretty CAS card, with the bright colors & the white spots on that kraft. Very classy. You must have loads of patience to do the stars as you did. It's very effective and really adds to the wonderful detail of this card. TFS & Hugs

I love the star border but it looks super time consumer (but worth it because the look is fab). Super card - looks CAS at first and then looks super detailed after you study it - fun! Hugz!
