OWH Challenges

I've been catching up with the OWH challenges lately, and first up is sketch challenge #226. I used papers from the American Crafts Soho Garden collection along with some melon mambo and daffodil yellow. The love note die is from Casual Fridays, and I stamped the sentiment with 2 different stamps, masking off just the words I wanted.

Earlier this week, the OWH midweek throwdown was to create 2 birthday cards - one masculine and one feminine. I used a favorite go-to OWH sketch for both cards which made this challenge easy. I found coordinating dsp's in my bin and paired them with some pale grey cardstock. The flowers were done with SU! punches and the sentiment is a wooden stamp with no name on it. I added a mini button brad to the flower center and some assorted sequins on the card.

Here's the masculine version, again using all snippets of dsp from my bin in a favorite color combination - yellow, grey & black. I used Punch-a-Bunch star and SU! mini star punches, along with some assorted mini brads and sequins.

With all the snippets used, I'm entering these cards into the Snippets Playground #126.

I wish I had time to play in all the challenges I enjoy, but with the nicer weather, I just want to be outdoors instead of stamping. Maybe I should move my table to the front porch?! :)

Have a great day, and I hope you're all enjoying your weekend!

Carol

Three great cards. The note one is lovely and yet has that little twist of fun in the sentiment.

The masculine/ feminine is a great idea. I love your guy card best as it just so so all Guy...perfect for a bloke as my British friends would say!

Nice collection of cards! Love the note card, got me thinking of other die cuts that go there ( envelope- "a hello", anchor- " you're my anchor"). TFS!

The masculine/feminine cards are both wonderful! Using decorative papers for the little banners on the first love note card is a fun idea.
