Butterflies and Gems

Here's my card for the Butterfly Challenge #6 to make glamorous butterflies that sparkle and shine. I finally cut into this beautiful Kaiser Craft Violet Crush paper pad I bought a few weeks ago and used 2 different papers with some dark green cardstock. The punch-a-bunch butterflies were first embossed with silver ep before punching, and then adorned with pink gemstones from Pizzazz Aplenty. The sentiment is a sticker, and all those tiny silver dots are pieces left behind on the sticker sheet. The sentiment was so tiny, it got lost on the square, so I added those dots to give it a little emphasis. The paper flowers are from my stash, with a smaller paper flower in the center done with a SU! 7/8" scalloped punch with each petal snipped to the center. I have a whole stash of those round and square gemstones that I'd like to use up, and one just seemed to look perfect in the center.

Have a great Wednesday and thanks for stopping by!

Carol

I can see why you didn't want to cut into that paper! WOW!! Very pretty. Hope you have more left over. Beautiful card and love the shine on those butterflies. The addition of the little dots were just perfect to highlight the sentiment.

The pink design paper certainly is lushious. I keep stroking the screen! A perfect background for those gorgeous glittery butterflies. Thank you for fluttering by #6. hugs Mrs A. (butterfly challenge).

Very pretty Carol, and thank you so much, Carol, for your lovely card...done in my favorite color. I just posted it to my blog.
You definitely helped to make my day special.

Carol what beautiful paper. Such a cute idea to use the left over dots on your sentiment panel. The black matting really makes your squares pop. Love the layered flower. I, too, have a bunch of those round and square gems so I will have to dig them out and use them for flower centers just like you did. Enjoy your day.

Had a quick glimpse of this pretty one when I dashed to the Butterfly site - just to check how long it's still open. Love that delicate rose background, and the gorgeous flower. Certainly dressed up these b'flies with their elegant pink perches. The black wows that pink and so does the trim on the 3rd inchies. Definitely dressed up! TFS & Hugs
