A Tractor Stamp Done 2 Ways

My sweet friend Mary Anne and I went to a scrapbook convention last week where I bought this Rubbernecker tractor image and the Balzer designs mini dots stencil used for the background. I sponged through the stencil on kraft cardstock with 3 different Ranger inks, and then cut it into a tag. The image was colored with Tombow markers, adding details with a fine line black marker. You can't see it too well, but I stamped some dried grass on the bottom before adding the sentiment. (click photo to enlarge) I found some gears and a photo turn and attached them all with brads, adding my last piece of burlap and a snippet of checkered ribbon. The background was embossed with a clockworks ef by CB. Sentiment stamps are by Clear Art Stamps.
I'm entering this card into the Tuesday Throwdown #191 which is vintage/shabby chic, adding ribbon or fiber.

Here's the same stamp, used on a simple one-layer card - which I rarely ever make! I went from one extreme to another between these two cards! LOL I colored this with Tombow markers, and made the grass with a stamp from "stamps by Judith" (also bought at the convention). I sponged in some sky with tumbled glass ink, and added a little SNSS bird flying in the sky. I added a birthday sentiment and this will go into my next OWH box, as i'm sure there are lots of farmers who will enjoy getting a card like this!
I'm entering this card into the Cardz4Guyz #14 the sky's the limit challenge.

Thanks for checking in to have a look today and I wish you all a wonderful Wednesday!

Carol

I keep scrolling back and forth between the 2 cards. Are you kidding me? OMG, I just love both of them! You are going to have zero problems using the Judith stamps, and that Rubbernecker tractor was a perfect buy!

The tractor stamp is just too cool. And, don't you just love Stamps by Judith? They come in so handy for doing all kinds of things.
I love your ribbon/burlap treatment.
Both cards are super duper.

Would you believe I had to cover plants last night? We had frost. It's unreal. Hope that is the last one, though. Surely will be.

Both versions are wonderful. It is almost hard to fathom that both use the same stamp. I love the tractor on a tag with all those gears in the background. I also love the simplicity of the one layer card.

Both cards are great. Kind of partial to the first one with the gears metal looking thingies and stuff. LOL

It is amazing to me how you can show us to so totally different cards made with the same image. They are both great and it would be very hard to pick a favorite, but I do know the recipients will be very happy to get these two gems. Have a good night.
