There's No Place Like Home!

Here's my card for the W2SB#3, which follows the Oscar buzz by choosing from a few favorite songs to make your card. I chose "There's no place like home" from the Wizard of Oz (1939) for my inspiration. I colored this fun House Mouse image and turned it into a "new home" card. I used scraps of polka dot papers and punched a black button with a MS punch, and used some Lawn Fawn twine to tie on a little metal house key charm.

There really is no place like home. Thanks for stopping by and make it a great day!

Hi, Carol. This is so pretty -- and so very sweet! Love how you used the black accents to complement the black outlines of this adorable image. As always, your coloring is AMAZING!

Thanks so much for the shout out and for joining our Oscar-inspired W2SB challenge!

How sweet with the mouse catching a snooze in the sunflower. I do love your polka dots. :-) You knew that, didn't you?

I Love all of your elements! The tiny key adds a cute, surprise to your twine. I would never have guessed that the button was a punch. Thanks for playing along with us at Words2ScrapBy.blogspot.com!!!!

Aw. This little fellar is just precious all relaxed in his sunflower bed. I love 'im! Great DP - as always - with your marvelous coloring. The tiny key - what detail. Right on, no place like home, even when you gotta do all that shoveling you've been doing too. Glad you dodged it last time. Give ya'll a little rest. Hopefully this last one will be the last hurrah before Spring. TFS & Hugs

Now this is a clever and very cute card Carol! I love that House Mouse image and think it is so clever of you to turn it into a new home card. I am so loving the tiny key, not sure where you found this key at but it is fabulous. I love the papers you used as well. You have colored your little mouse in his "new" home so well too. Just to cute! Hugs
