Colorful & Snarky

Here's my entry for the Tuesday Morning Sketch #238. I used a SNSS Cocoa Mouse image along with some Recollections polka dot papers. After coloring the image with Copics, I added some glossy accents to the red paint, and added some black ribbon and red gems from Pizzazz Aplenty. I dotted around the scallops of the black circle die with a white Sharpie pen and added a piece of twine for the final touch.

Here's my card for the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers #2 - which is "U for unused."  I stamped this gem of a sentiment at a dear friend's house and knew I loved it, but wasn't quite sure how to use it. It sat in a box unused for months now, and then this challenge appeared! I pulled it out again and sorted through my stamped images until I found this one that just seemed to work, as he's got a weed hanging from his mouth. It just all came together in a light bulb funny moment for me. The twisted fiber seemed to be a good match for the theme of the card, and that's been in my stash for a decade or more I'm sure! The border was done with an EK brick pattern punch and layered with some matching teal. Although this card makes me snicker, I have no idea what I'll do with it! LOL I'm open to suggestions......

Thanks for stopping by and make this a great day today!

Carol

Love the little Cocoa mouse, but how fun is that sentiment on the second card. Can you imagine having a sentiment like that? LOL! Love the clever way you put it to use!

You know I love little Cocoa and paired up with the polka dot paper is fun and cute!
Your second card has me smiling from ear to ear! TOO cute and of course the perfect sentiment. I wish I had a dollar for every time my mother told me that!

For sure, I love that polka dotted paper and the image is so adorable. Good idea with the Glossy Accents on the paint.

Ha...and, how fun is the second card. That is an unusual accent but so perfect for this card. Maybe you'll find just the right person to send it to.

Oh my goodness! I love both of the cards! You and I are Cocoa nuts so of course I think you out did yourself on that card. Your second card just makes me laugh! What a super great card!

Suggestion for the card, hmmm...maybe type out your own sentiment for the inside to make it useful for summer and have it say something like, Hope you're enjoying the lazy days of summer. Be great for a masculine card? That's the only idea I've got!

I'm too busy snickering over your snarky card to comment on the sweet mouse. Okay, control. I have it. NO really.

Mouse-great idea to put glossy accents on the paint for dimension. I love the twine tied the ribbon and gurl, you make those bows so fine!!

Now, about your dude. I've decided that snarky cards are the perfect cheer you up cards because they make you smile. They make you laugh. They make you gasp at the audaciousness of it all. Maybe not for your mother, but you have that friend, you know which one!

I'm glad you found an image to go with the "mouth" stamp. I think any stampy friend would enjoy that card. There doesn't need to be an occasion besides just because! Thanks for joining us at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers

I missed commenting yesterday so I'm trying to play catch up. Both of these cards are as cute as can be. I always love your Cocoa cards and this one is no exception. Your second card is hilarious. I'm trying to thing of who you can give this card. Ooh, how about some guy you know that might be into gardening? Well enjoy the day and the race. Let's hope it is a good one.

Saw the title "Snarky" when enjoying your later post, and just had to scroll down to see these. Both are adorable, made me smile. Your way with combining all the different embellies & papers is so expert! That mouse is just cute as can be, but I had to laugh at #2. I can think of several folks who would rate this card! That sentiment is just too 'snarky' for words! Loving that EK punched border too. One I've not seen round our area. Well done, you! TFS & Hugs
