Hang in There!

The HMFMC#163 challenge is to use the February birthstone color of amethyst and one other color. I chose blue for my secondary color. I only used this little guy for Christmas cards, but I took a 2nd look and realized he's just hanging in an ordinary sock, so I thought he'd look cute in these colors. I pulled 2 scraps from my bin and paired them together with some amethyst card stock. I added a border done with a MS arch lattice punch, and did some piercing around the image and to the corners. I had a thin strip of amethyst card left over, so I gave it some banner ends & curl with a bone folder, and stuck it under the computer generated sentiment just for fun. The butterflies were done with a SU! sizzlet and amethyst gemstones from Pizzazz Aplenty - which by the way has a great sale starting today!

With this harsh winter, all we're doing is hanging in there which is how this card came to be. Thanks for stopping by and make it a great Monday!

Carol, This is precious. He does not have to be used only for Christmas. Once again you have done a fabulous coloring job on your image and your sky. The piercing really looks great on both panels. Those butterflies are just darling. I think I'll have to head over to Pizzazz Aplenty and pick up some more gems. I need the smaller ones. Thanks so much for playing along with us here at House Mouse & Friends this week. I always love to see what you offer up in the way of inspiration. Enjoy your day.

For sure, this little mouse in the stocking can be used other than Christmas. How cute it is!! I love the color combo, too. What a super creation.

I sure hope you aren't expecting any snow this week.

With the kind of winter y'all are having up there you may need more than just a sock to keep out the cold.....but this is adorable!!!! So cute and love the colors and design. Precious card.

Oh he's so cute, and I'm lovin' the MS border too. The corner piercing is a super idea, and I bet you feel just like little Mouse - just hangin' in there. Sure hope last nite's snow is the last for ya'll, and that the roof is still hangin' in there too! As is Butch & the snowblower! Thanks for a cute card to enjoy & sending strong wishes that you don't have to shovel too much today! Hugs!

Oh my gosh! You are so right that he isn't a Christmas stamp. Now don't we all feel silly. He makes the best hang in there card! I like all the piercing you've add and the various purples (amethyst!) Very lovely!
