CASE-ing Dawn

The January 29th Mod Squad challenge is to CASE a card from a designer you like. My list of admired designers is a few miles long, but I went with this bookmarked Christmas card from DOstamping with Dawn that I just love. I don't do CAS cards very well, but I couldn't wait to try this one. Her design is also a great way to use up those little snippets of leftover paper that you can't bear to throw away. I used different papers, a different sentiment, a punched layering mat instead of a die, and I also added some twine for a little fun. I replaced the clear bling with some red bling to the tree tops as well. I found making this design so much fun, I made 3 more cards, using different papers, colors and sentiments.

I'm sure I'll be making a lot more of this design before Christmas comes around again as I donate lots of Christmas cards to several organizations!

Since these cards use all those precious snippets, I'll be sharing them over at the Snippets Playground #109 before the gates close!

Thanks for stopping by and have yourself a fabulous Friday!

Very pretty CAS Christmas cards, Carol. I see you have a good start for this year. I checked out the card you cased. It was very pretty, too, and I loved what she did to the envelope. That would be a good way to use scraps, too.

Beautiful CAS cards. And, you are already building a stash for the next Christmas season. I admire that. I usually end up being in a rush myself so I maybe should try that as well.

Carol, quick you can also run these cards over and enter them in Sarn's Rudolph Day challenge (stamping for pleasure). It runs from the 25th-last day of each month so you still have time! You are so inspiring with this beautiful set you've made!! Enjoy the weekend! Hugs, Darnell

You are one prolific & talented card gal! These are all so pretty, and I'm liking the design on this one. Looks to be fairly quick if you had your elements picked out. I liked the punched tree over the scallop square. You will definitely be CASE'd on this one. Each card was unique with the different bkgrnds you chose, so don't tell me you can't do CAS. You _Sure Do_! Just told Benzi, I wish you gals could come with us. We'd have a ball. I always do, come home beat, and the bags get dropped on the floor in the stamp room. Which already has plenty on the floor! Hope the weather was better today. It was here. a little bit anyway! TFS & Hugs.

Ha! These cards are an excellent use of snippets for sure! I like the kraft backgrounds. I have such a hard time with kraft but these really work well. I may have to try something similar soon!
