Two for Four

Here's my card for the OWH Stars and Stamps sketch challenge #198. I used a Rubbernecker image embossed in gold, with a Unity sentiment, also embossed in gold. I added cream, orange, kraft, and a soft brown card stock and a piece of ribbon from my stash. The jewel tags were stamped and embossed with the image, then I tied them onto the bow with gold cording. The chocolate pearls are from Pizzazz Aplenty. The background was embossed with a SU! square lattice ef. {click the image to make larger and you'll probably see the embossed image a little better.}

This one will also be going to OWH, but it was created by combining 2 different challenges. The Cards in Envy challenge this week is "Say what?" In other words, make the sentiment your main focus, with no image stamps. I'm also using the Tuesday Morning sketch challenge #223 for this card, but flipping it to accommodate this sentiment panel. I used a map from an old Atlas for the background, adding some tiny tails done with scraps of red & blue. The sentiment is from SU! as well as the Chalk Talk Framelit dies. I added some star brads just for fun.

I'll also enter this one into Pixie's Snippets Playground #98 since I used more of my endless supply of snippets.

Thanks for the visit - I always love enjoy your company :) Make it a great day!

Carol

Carol: As always, both cards are great. But, I just love the richness of the first card -- it has such depth, texture, and dimension. It's a real beauty!

That first card had me as it was scrolling up! So gorgeous. I had to keep enlarging it again & again to take in all the beautiful details. That was brilliant to emboss that tiny little tag as you did. Never would have thought of that! Loved the 2nd card too. That would have been a hard challenge for me...but you did a wonderful card to meet the requirements. Your red mat just drew the eye right in to the wonderful sentiment. Perfect background papers for this one too. TFS & Hugs

Both are gorgeous but I do love the upcycling on the second - a really clever way to use something rather than bin it x
