Snippets & Greens

Here's a fun card I made for the Snippets Playground #100. I used my SU! hexagon embossing folder for the lower panel. I took tiny scraps of dsp and embossed them too, hand-cutting and placing them into the embossed areas for a little fun. I just love making hexagon cards like this - the more tedious the more I enjoy doing it. I added a coordinating border with a MS punch, and added some Su! ribbon to finish it off. The SU! sentiment was embossed using white ep, and all the dsp is by BoBunny.

Here's a card for the MFP Speedy Fox & Friends #187 challenge to make a green Christmas card. I've had these small snippets of dsp for ages and always loved them. The center panel is the reverse side of the end panels. I used a simple design with some beige and white, adding a matching brad to a die-cut circle and a sentiment done with dark green ink. This is one of my favorite go-to sketches for using those left-over snippets of paper you hate to waste.

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving-Hannukah, which ever you happen to be celebrating! I'm thankful for all of you :)

Carol, I love the white against your dark green paper..very nice! I know you love working with those hexagons and you always do such a great job.

On your second card, the double sided paper looks super together. I'm thinking you must have used soooooo much of your scrap paper by now. My drawer full is still growing. Ha.

Have a wonderful holiday weekend. Guess it's plenty cold there. It is here, but warmer weather in a couple of days.

You are a lady with a lot of patience but I, for one, really appreciate your patience in making these fabulous cards. I love it when you make the hexagon cards. This card is just striking and your second card is equally as beautiful. Wishing you the very best Thanksgiving.
Big Hugs,
Donna

Terrific snippets card Carol! Sheesh, you do have some patience as well - but what a lovely result. I would never have thought of using that EF on a Christmas card - and it works brilliantly!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Love that first one with all the red and green. Can't beat those hexagons.
The second is just as lovely with that pretty DP and cute little Christmas tree brad.

Hope y'all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Oh you've got some super snippety cards here - loved 'em both. I really liked the hexagon one though, loved the way you added the bright bits into the hexagon embossing. That paper was wonderful with the MS punched border too. I've seen that punch and it is a big design! Was beautiful with the dp matching your hexagon trimming. Loved the 2nd one too, and I will be copying your tree brad idea. I have some of those (VOS & NBUS too!) Happy Tday, stay warm, be safe if you are traveling, & TFS

Look at that fancy white embossing on that snippet card! I came by in search of snippet inspiration. I've definitely been inspired to punch them but HEXAGON punch them I hadn't thought of before now.
