Super Coupe

I've made another card from the awesome Clear Arts Classic Cars stamp set I won from JoAnn's blog in the Labor Day VCMP for OWH, and I haven't stopped playing with it since it arrived! (There's another in the previous post) While making this card, my hubby came in and said "that's my coupe!" He's always wanted to own one of these old coupes, but losing his job back in 2006 blew that dream out of the water. I was going to give this to him for his birthday on Wednesday, but now I'll have to go back to the drawing board and make him another! Oddly enough, he just loved this fuchsia color too!
This was made for the OWH Stars and Stamps sketch challenge #191. I used a paper pad I won some time ago by Carolyn Gavin. The banner was made from a scrap of fiber paper that was embossed with the Kickin Rubber folder by SB. I added some mini hexes from a border die by SSS and called this one done. I don't think it needs a sentiment because the car image makes a great statement all on it's own. I colored it with Copics and added some silver paint pen accents to the bumpers, wheels and windshield wiper. A little white spica glitter pen finished the headlamps and this might just be one of my favorite cards ever!

Thanks for stopping by today and have a great weekend!

Carol

Love it, Carol. You did a fab just with the coloring. The "chrome" and head lights came out great too.

I love the black & fuschia colors together! It still stays like a masculine card too - so glad your hubby liked it too. I was looking through your posts and I like the mosaic card you made! You're on a great creative roll!

Oh, wow!!! I looked at that stamp set for a year and could never figure out what to do with those cars, other than just black and white because I knew the coloring was beyond my skillset. But you SO rocked that card! And the other one, as well. I'm so happy the cars found a good home! Xoxoxo

Another cool looking card! Great design for it too. I can really see why he'd want one just like it. I'd give him the card even though he's seen it already and just let me drool over it! Love that color!!!
