Simon Says You're Amazing!

The Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge this week is a celebration of STAMPtember which includes a blog hop, and a requirement to use and list Simon Says Stamp products on our cards!
Here's a list of the products I used on my cards that are available from the SSS store:

Boston Terrier Love stamps & matching die (for Simon the dog)
We R Memory Keepers envelope punch board (file folder)
SSS Shoot for the Stars Stamp set (inside)
Tim Holtz Visual Artistry "The Journey" clear stamp set (tickets)

I used a small scrap of red card stock to try making a file folder, and when it was done, it fit perfectly on the front of a card, so that's how this card began. I put Simon on a scrap of green grass; added some stamped tickets and a paw brad, and then gave him a little dog collar with some gold cording :) The border was done with a SU! retired punch, and I added a dog bone clip with a snippet of ribbon to the top. I stamped the inside of the file folder like this...

There's also plenty of room for writing inside the actual card, so I left that one blank like this............

I used papers from the BG Basics white paper pad for the inside & outside. I was so pleased with the way this one turned out that I decided to make another file folder card...

For this one, I adhered strips of assorted yellow, red, & black dsp to a scrap of card, then die cut it into an oval and mounted another die-cut Simon on top. I made the file folder a little differently with 2 tabs, but this one I tied closed with some ribbon. I think these cards will be fun for some dog-loving kiddos to receive, so I may make a few more of them before I'm done. Don't you just love the expression on Simon's face? Gotta love that fun doggie :)

I'm also entering these cards into the Snippets Playground #90 since they were both made with lots of snippets.

Thanks for the visit and staying long enough to leave your thoughts :)

I love that you put a small file folder on your cards....how cute and creative! And, so many wonderful embellies. Love the spiral punch. I need to get mine out and use it. Yes, that Simon is a cutie.

Two super cards Carol, brilliant file designs and love the ides of layering strips of snippets across card before die cutting it out. The doggie did make me grin, that's a sort of 'wry smile and wait until you find out what I just did' look :))

Love the idea of the file folders on both of these darling cards. Any kiddo would love to receive either one of these cards. I really like the assorted papers on the second card that you cut out with a die. Very interesting look. Enjoy your day.

This is just such a fun card, and any doggie lover is going to ooh & aah over this one. So much detail with your file folders, all the doggie embellie details too. So very colorful, and I loved both of 'em. Good luck at Simon Says and also the Snippets Playground. Some good prizes! TFS & Hugs
