Upsy Daisy in Blue & Yellow Herringbone

Here's another herringbone background I made using blues and yellows from a MME Moments paper pad. I embossed the SU! Upsy Daisy image with clear detail ep on white cardstock, and sponged yellow and blue inks right on top. I die cut it with a SU! top note, trimmed around the piercing, and matted it with a navy blue panel, also cut with the top note die. The sentiment panel was done with the SU! 25 years best of stamp sets from March. I stamped the mini upsy daisy image with daffodil ink, then stamped the sentiment on top using Navy ink. I layered it on a SB grommet tag and used some SU! candi dots in daffodil. The ribbon is from Pizzazz Aplenty.

Since I used all those snippets of leftover paper to create the background, I'm entering this into the Snippets Playground #85.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend, and thanks for stopping by!

Carol

ETA: in response to a request to learn how to do the herringbone technique, there's a tutorial here:

Gorgeous, Carol. I love the Upsy Daisy and it pops right out with your pretty sponging. The sentiment piece looks great, too, with it stamped there. Another super card!!
