Building Around a Sentiment

My card today is for the OWH midweek throwdown which is "so sentimental." In other words, build your card around the sentiment and make it your focal point. I used a Spellbinders fancy tags two die for the sentiment, outlining it with a black marker before cutting. That always seems to add a little pop of interest that appeals to me for some reason. The scrap of paper is from CTMH and the punched border was done with an EK punch.  The card base is very vanilla. I added some black pearls for the finishing touch in assorted sizes.

If nothing else, at least I got my midweek throwdown card finished in the middle of this week for a change :)

Thanks for stopping by and have yourself a great day!

Carol

Well you are way ahead of me in getting this challenge finished. On top of accomplishing that you made an outstanding card. This is just beautiful. I love the softness of the CTMH paper. The vanilla and black go so well with it. We are getting rain now and will last through the night. It is suppose to reach high seventies tomorrow. I hope you have nice weather also.
