Kid's Cards for OWH

I've been sorting through my huge bin of scraps and making lots of card multiples for OWH. I liked the animal print heart in the SNSS Bottom of my Heart stamp set, and that was the starting point for this card. I stamped a few of the hearts on tiny scraps of white card stock, and die cut them with SNSS heart dies, and then went in search of an animal stamp to match. I found this super cute digital zebra image by Elizabeth O. Dulemba, who creates children's books with her wonderful illustrations. You can find her at dulemba.com  I colored the image with Copics, added 2 snippets of ribbon and some embossing done with a Hero Arts chevron ef. The sentiment is from Hero Arts OWH stamp set. I made several more in different colors...

Red....

Saffron...

And here is the whole group of cards...

I was thinking of perhaps making a few more of these and leaving the zebras uncolored, so when the children of our hero's receive these cards, they can color them and enjoy the card a little more.

Because I used scraps for each card, along with snippets of assorted ribbon, I'm entering these into Pixie's Crafty Snippets Playground #70.

Have yourself a great Tuesday and thanks for stopping by today!

Carol

What great cards, Carol. I think your idea of leaving some blank for the children to color is an awesome idea. That's a cool chevron folder you've used. Cute hearts, too.
