It's Been a While...

It's been a while since I've posted, but the weather has been beautiful and I want to be outdoors and enjoy it! Today I've made a card for this week's Seize the Birthday #9 sketch challenge to make a feminine card.

I used some scraps lying on my table to put this one together so I'm also entering this into Pixie's Crafty Snippets Playground ##63. I added some interest to the side of the image panel with some faux stitching, and added punched card stock circles and brads for the flower centers. The sentiment panel was done with the new SU! petite curly label punch and coordinating stamp set called pretty petites. I added a little color with Copics and some ribbon from my stash, along with a punched border done with an EK punch. The dsp is by BG and the image is by SU! and both are retired.

I hope you're enjoying some beautiful weather where you live today! Thanks for stopping by and make it a fabulous day!

Carol

Nothing like a card full of flowers to say 'happy birthday'. I love the faux stitching and sweet image, along with the wonderful background full of flowers. It's fabulous.
Glad you're having some nice weather. It is supposed to be 73 here today with sunshine. Yesterday was warm, 69 degrees but mostly cloudy all day. That was a disappointment.

Love the colors in this, Carol. That DP is so pretty and I really thought that was stitching on the side! VERY pretty. Glad you're playing at Seize the Birthday too!

Enjoy that wonderful weather!

Carol, I love, love, love that paper and your idea to use circles as the flower centers was a terrific one. Fabulous faux stitching. The little sentiment die piece is the perfect touch for this totally sweet card. Enjoy the weather. We re suppose to reach 50 for the next two days YIPEE!!!! I don't know if Molly and Daisey will be that happy because that means they have to go for walks. They can use the exercise as can their mother.

Hi Carol! Oh, I absolutely love this card - great colour choice and just perfect for the sketch. How clever to echo the zigzags side border by adding the sewing to the image. You get two goes on the swings for this beauty!

Hope you had a lovely day yesterday - I'm playing catch up in the Playground!

Hugs, Di xx

Great card and to think that you've used up snippets that were already on your desk - saves tidying them away :) Love the faux stitching and the punched circles for the flower centres. Elizabeth xx
