Shopping our Stash 73 - Trick or Treat

The challenge over at Shopping our Stash #73 is Trick or Treat. Make a Halloween treat, or a card. I found this tutorial for making these cute boxes over on Pinterest and knew this is what I'd be making for the grandkids this Halloween. For this box I used papers from Haunted Hallows by Teresa Collins. I added a punched border using an EK success punch, and the pumpkin is a digi image from SNSS that I colored, fussy cut, and popped up with foam tape.

Here's the 2nd box I made using papers from the same paper pack. The spider is a digi image (it's name is RLW) and I colored it with neon Copics and added a white scalloped mat, colored with a neon pink Copic marker. The spiders around the edge were done with a very old MS punch that I always find a use for at Halloween. I dotted the eyes on the spiders with a black spica glitter pen.

Here are the boxes inside, filled with mini M&M's and those fruity little treats (I forget the name of them!) LOL The boxes were both lined with matching dsp and I added velcro closures to both of them. These boxes went together so quickly that I just know I'll be finding more occasions to make more of them soon!

I'll be back in a while with some more completed challenges.

Carol, what cuties. I'm sure they will be well received and it will be nice to keep little trinkets in after the candy is all gone or to use as decorations for next year. Great little gifts.

Great project Carol, but I have to say I don't like spideys unless they are cute stamps LOL!
