The OWH Stars and Stamps VCMP weekend cont'd

 Continuing with the OWH Stars & Stamps VCMP Labor Day weekend, here is challenge #6. It's the OWH Stars & Stamps sketch #136, but Linda has given us a twist - to use punches. {check}

 Challenge #7 is Christmas for Kids - Big and Small. Sybrina challenges us to make a Christmas card for a hero, as well as a card for one of our heroes to send home to their kids. This one is for the little kids..........

 And this one is for the big "kids." The sentiment was composed of 3 different SNSS sentiments; put together to have meaning for a soldier serving so far away from home. This was done completely with dsp my friend Mary Anne shared with me :) {check check}
 This little guy was made for Challenge#8 where Cherie challenges us to create a sports-themed card. {check}
And for challenge #9, Shannon challenges us to use a long-neglected tool. I needed some red dsp for the top of this card, and I didn't have anything that matched, so I pulled out a very old plastic template I bought at Ame's (they went out of business umpteen years ago) when I first began doing scrapbooks! I kept it because it has the perfect outline of a US flag, along with fireworks. I used a SU real red marker and drew in the fireworks at the top to pull this all together.

OK, that's 9 down, and 1 to go, but #10 hasn't been posted yet, and the race is just getting underway, so that challenge will have to wait for tomorrow. Thanks for sticking with me today - it's been a lot of cards to plow through, and I appreciate your stopping by :) Happy Labor Day everyone!

You've done well to keep up with all of the challenges! I looked at the sketch and my mind couldn't seem to figure out how to make the little panel on the bottom look good - you apparently had no such problem! {grin} Fabulous cards as always!

Carol,

I'm with Donna and Linda -- not sure I can pick a favorite. :)

If push came to shove, it would probably be the reindeer boy. Such a cute image that a little one is going to love receiving.

Thanks for playing along with the Christmas is for Kids challenge.

Gosh, Carol...you are movin'! What a spectacular group of cards. And, isn't it wonderful when you can use things you've had in your stash for so long? I guess the motto is: Never throw anything away. You never know when it will come in handy.

Great cards as always, Carol! I love how the dry embossed background coordinates so nicely with the punches you used on your sketch card. Thanks for joining us in this week's OWH Stars & Stamps Sketch Challenge!
