Santa, Kraft, and & Sketch

There's a tutorial over on the OWH Stars & Stamps blog to make this fun Santa christmas card. Black & red card stock, a fun sentiment, a soda can tab, ribbon, button brads, and a white "beard" done with a SB oval die and a CB embossing folder were the only ingredients for this fun card! I'll be making a few more of these for sure!

This card meets 2 challenges. I used the I Spy Sketches ISSC28, as well as the OWH Stars and Stamps mid-week throwdown challenge to use kraft, plus 1 or 2 more colors. I strayed a bit from the sketch, but I used the last piece of kraft I had, and it was a bit smaller than it should have been. I used some espresso and teal card stock, adding embossing with the diamond plate and herringbone ef's from CB, and added a SNSS sentiment, along with a ribbon slide that was done with a Quickutz die.

That's going to do it for me today, but thanks for stopping by and have a great middle of the week!

Ooh, the diamond plate pattern is a great idea! I'm always on the lookout for ideas for masculine cards, so this is one motif that I'm definitely going to keep in mind. My husband would love it!
