A Triple Round of Challenges

The CAS-ual Fridays CFC66 challenge is splish-splash: create a project featuring something you'd see in or at the ocean.

I'm sure there are many anchors in the ocean at any given time, so I used a Marianne anchor die that was colored with a silver paint pen. I wove some white twisted fiber through the anchor, and added a row of pale blue stickles to the edge of the designer paper and added the sentiment with a Dymo label maker.

The cue card for the CASology week #6 challenge includes the word "school."

I used papers from an Imaginisce school-themed collection for my card, making a tag layered with designs from a border sheet. The pencils at the bottom were also from the same collection of papers, and I stamped the CTMH "SCHOOL" sentiment on a piece of matching dsp and used a word window punch to cut it out. The ribbon was also included in the dsp collection pack, and the tag was cut with my Cricut. I added some faux stitching around the edges for the final touch.

Click this link for the inspirational photo for the Saturated Canary challenge #24.

I don't have any bicycle images or dies, so I pulled the colors from the photo and based my card on the browns, pinks, and aquas with a touch of green. I used a free Saturated Canary digi image called "Canary Love" and colored it with Copics. I added a few touches of Spica glitter pen accents in pink, and used a fine line black marker to accent a few details on the image. The flowers are primas and I used some tiny button brads in the centers, placing them all on a Cheery Lynn mini flourish. The image was cut with SB squares, and layered with chocolate chip card stock and cool caribbean mats. The dsp was from my over-flowing stash and I have no idea who makes it, sorry. I don't know why, but my photos all look a little out-of-focus lately, but if you click them to make them larger, they look perfectly focused? I have no idea how to correct that issue.

That will do it for me for today, but thanks so much for stopping by and I wish you all a pleasant weekend!

Carol

Great cards, Carol, all very nicely done...but I like how you did the first one with the anchor, and the dp goes so well with it. Nice coloring on your other cards, and I really like the image on the 3rd, one. My hubby colored that image for me, haven't made a card with it yet...Hope you are having a nice weekend.

Carol, I love your water...what a great card and the added anchor is just perfect. The school tag card is so fun, and the last card is just a sweetie. I don't have any bicycle images or dies, either. I was thinking about that over the weekend. I need to correct that.
