Rainy Days Sketch Challenge for July

I love to play along with Susan's Rainy Day Sketch challenges and here's the one for July. I used some gorgeous Graphic 45 papers that I won by playing Susan's first sketch challenge, and today it was time to stop admiring that gorgeous paper pad and actually USE it! :) I know I'm not the only one who has a tendency to hoard paper now am I?! LOL I chose to make the SNSS sentiment my focal point and stamped it in Always Artichoke. I wish now that I'd stamped it in black, but I was trying to keep with the tropical colors and not add any sharp contrast. I accented with real red, and really rust, adding a MS doily punched border, and some red gems from Want2Scrap. The flower was done with 3 punches from Fiskars, Carl, and Punch-a-Bunch, and the stem was done with an EK punch.  I added a yellow brad in the flower center and some red ribbon, and this card was finished!
The papers I used are exotic Destination and Island Jewel, both from the Graphic 45 Tropical Travelogue paper pad. Pina Colada anyone?

Be sure to click on the link and make some time to play along with Susan's sketch. You'll be glad you did :)

Thanks for stopping by and make it a fabulous day!

Sooooo pretty, Carol. I love the paper and see why you were hoarding it. It sure makes a gorgeous card.
You made me curious and I had to go online and find Carl punches..that was one I did not know. I noticed you mentioned them in a card I commented on yesterday.
Where have I been?

Oh, Carol!! This is beautiful!! I LOVE how you used contrasting colors of the Graphic 45 paper, the bling and that sweet floral arrangement on the sentiment. LOVE this card! Thanks so much for playing along and for the shout out!
